Franciscans for the Poor

The Franciscans for the Poor Summer Youth Program and Alternative Spring Break provides adults, college students, junior high and high school youth groups and their chaperones, the unique opportunity to serve those persons less fortunate in the Franciscan tradition throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.

Individuals or groups make a one-week commitment and live in community, sharing a simple lifestyle of service and prayer.

The goal of the week is to provide individuals with a rich culturally diverse experience, group and individual prayer activity and a chance to live a simple lifestyle.

Service projects are geared to the skills and talents of the individuals. Training is provided and all projects are supervised.
